Your doctor may agree to let you have a prescription for long-term treatment without need for a consultation every time. In these circumstances, please use the tear-off slip attached to your prescription or write out your order and either hand in / post to the surgery or hand in / telephone the chemist.
Well Pharmacy, Stirling Road, St Budeaux PL5 1PE – 01752 314869
Please allow at least three full working days for any repeat prescriptions to be processed before collection.
You can now nominate your preferred chemist [or appliance provider, if you use one] to order and receive your medicines for you to collect. Please ask them about Electronic Prescribing [EPS].
You can also order your repeat medication via the systmonline link on this website – though if you have not already signed up for this service, you will need to visit reception with some form of ID in order to be issued with a password. If you’re already signed up then click on the link to order online.
Prescription charges and exemptions
The current prescription charge is £9.00 per item. Alternatively, a three-monthly Prepayment Prescription Certificate [PPC] can be purchased for £29.10 and could save you money if you need more than three prescribed items in three months. A 12-month certificate is £104 and could save you money if you need more than 12 prescribed items in a year.
PPCs cannot be obtained from the surgery, rather you must apply directly to the NHS. More details are available at http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcosts/Pages/PPC.aspx
